Off topic: turtle jackpot

The largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States is about 40 minutes from my home. I headed over there today in search of some wild life. Lot's of geese, ducks and painted TURTLES. I count 21 in the second photo. They all took a dive when I approached them, so I had to kneel down and wait patiently for 20 minutes for them all to climb back on the logs to get the shot.

I'm guessing you're referring to Horicom Marsh (thank you, Google) and thus your pictures are from Wisconsin? Location always adds to the interest...

Those are two great pictures. Caused me to recollect just how beautiful painted turtles are.
