Rack in Basement Opinion???

skyfire_1 May 11, 2013 07:57 PM

I have a finished basement, carpeting the whole ten yards, I live in New York, and the temperature on the most part down there is always right at 68 degrees year round.

Here's the question, I was thinking about getting the Boaphile Ball Room Rack for a small Male Boa I have, and I wasn't sure if this style cage with a heat strip would be able to keep conditions well enough for a Boa.

Does anyone else have a rack set up like this in similar conditions? What are your thoughts?

Thanks...

The Ball Room rack will keep up at that temp, but be careful, the temps on your floor are likely colder than 68. 64 would be too cold. Elevating the rack takes care of the lower floor temps. Breeding in a room that cold will prove problematic. Maintaining an animal at the temp, with cages or racks that can be kept adequately warm enough will be ok.
