It looks like alot of people did well taking advantage of the holiday weekend to go and find what they were looking for. This weekend it should be my turn.

Some people had better trips than others. I was not lucky enough to find 2 Alterna one night and a Blonde Suboc another night. But I enjoyed the trip and saw a number of interesting animals. It was kind of weird to me though, the whole time we were there We only saw 2 Crotalus, but at least a dozen night snakes a couple of ground snakes and 4 subocs.
I was very disappointed in the actions of TP&W (Game Warden Spears of Alpine). It would seem that the day after a post of alterna taken on FM 170 (River Road) somebody in Austin instructed Spears to write tickets to anybody he could pull over. He wrote on parking ticket (not his job) and one for hunting with no license. This one we had dismissed by about lunchtime the next day in a deal cut with the JP to purchase a license. Now the reason I am so unhappy with TP&W is that they are making policy to harass collectors. We need to make this practice a thing of the past. We need to hold them to the fire and make them just do their job, no extra credit for being a jerk.

Ed, you are ssooooo funny. But I am sure Wayne doesn't think so! I offered to catch one for him last week, but he declined! I give him the snakes I catch for him, so I guess I work for him. LOL! Even though I have caught my on River Road, it would still be a rush to get another. We just can't get enough!
