They are easily one of the most handleable geckos you can get. Although they are nocturnal, they are easily handled both day and night. They are also very hardly, as long as you give them their minimum requirements.

On this forum page is a good care sheet. Why don't you read that, and if you have any more specific questions, post them on the forum.

Welcome to the leo forum.

Leopard geckos are extremely nice and are easy to handLe. after they get used to their new home, let them settle for a couple days and stick your hand in a few times so it gets used to it. after, you can start handling them with no problem. they're not especially aggressive or shy - they're pretty much laid back and won't try to bite you unless they get REALLY scared or feel threatened - but it hasn't happened to met yet! plus, before they even try to bite, they'll stand on all fours and wave their little tail and make some sounds. but if they become accustomed to being handled, that shouldn't even be a problem.

Because they are nocturnal, they are more active at night. This is good if you're at school and/or work til late in the day. For me, I put the day light at 6:30AM and put the night light at 6:30PM, so i can see him before I sleep. He comes out to play on my arm, goes to eat, walks around for a while, hangs out.... it's more fun watching them eat too - it's entertaining

I hope you get them! You'll be glad you did! I know I am!
