Litter 4: Interesting Outcome...

lrdj Jun 12, 2013 08:27 PM

Pairing (Arabesque boa x Fine Line boa) born 6/10/13. The purpose of combining these two was to produce perfect and flawless Arabesque boas. We believe the outcome proved to be a positive one and the pictures speak for themselves (personal opinion).

First off... Here is some information on the Fine Line Colombian Boas....

www.reptileinsider.com/showthread.php?25997-Jeff-Ronne-Sr-HERE-We-Go-quot-File-Line-Colombian-Boa-quot

Pictures from the Dam...

Sire....

Breeding Trial..

Ovulation..

Outcome - 21 neonates + 1 inspissated ova

All three combine....

1. Arabesque
2. Fine Line Arabesque
3. Fine line

It should be interesting to see what the future holds when the Fine Line Colombian boas (a line of boas selectively bred) are combined to so many other beautiful Colombian morphs that already exist.

Thanks for looking!

Great idea . . I always wanted to see the out come of this type pairing . .

An Arab paired to an early fine line was what I leaned towards in earlier years . . . . . .

The problem I see is the Fine line Boa appears to have an extremely strong floating pattern . . .
and that further ripped apart the slightly weak Arab pattern . .

Fantastic outcome though , enjoyed seeing this ,Congrats Guys !

Orlando,
Those are truly awesome looking boas!! The selective breeding has once again paid off over at Legacy Reptiles!! The fine Line Arabs look amazing! I agree with you last sentence about breeding the Fine Line into other morphs down the road!! Very exciting stuff! Thanks for the selective pairing and the post!!!
