Are these Hypo's ????

HognoseCrazy Jun 13, 2013 12:15 PM

I hatched these from a small clutch of four eggs, three of them have light brown bellies with a purple tint.
I think they are Hypo's but not sure. What do you think ?

I've only seen a few but it looks like a toffee belly!

Where did you get your conda adults that produced them?

HognoseCrazy Jun 13, 2013 02:49 PM

The male anaconda came from superconda, I bred a female anaconda back to him. I have also posted on facebook and Greg Bennett is sure these are Hypos. Thanks

Toffee on the left, Evan's on the right.

Here is picture of a hypo(Evans amel) of mine. his belly is that way though as you can see the rest of him obviously has reduced black pigment as well. Yours are more difficult to tell(maybe just the photo)other than that reduced black belly. I noticed that one of them has lighter pigment than the other though(refering to the condas).

The non-Anaconda on the left and the Super look like they could be Evan's Amels "Hypos". The Super's head though looks really dark, is it just a deep red or is it brownish? If it's brownish, then I would think it's just a Blondish type of Super, but the belly is very intruiging.

Thanks for all the pics, i am sure evans hypo.
This is the non-Anaconda on the left belly.

This is the non-Anaconda on the left belly.

That definitely looks like an Evan's belly on the non-Anaconda as well as the overall coloration on it's dorsal region. I'm sure the Super is an Evan's too, it's just way darker in pattern and belly color. Regardless, very nice and congratulations!!!

Hey Troy,

Can you post a pic of a Toffee and Evan's Hypo belly?

I'm interested in seeing the difference in color/saturation.

Thanks!

That's actually a great request Rusty! Unfortunately I fed my Toffees last night and I'm going to be feeding my Evan's today. Please, remind me on Monday or Tuesday and I will try to get a paired comparison shot of their bellies.

Here you go my friend! Please don't mind the crappy pictures, while it doesn't look like it, these guys were seriously going after my fingers. I'm surprised I got as good as I did without getting bit.
