Good afternoon everybody, I hope those of you in the US had a great and safe holiday weekend, and I hope the rest of you all had a great regular weekend. =P
Just thought I would post pictures of everyone while I had them out for feeding. 5 out of my 7 snakes shed within the past day, it's nice when they're all on the same schedule. =P
To house my yealings, I use the 96 oz pre-punched deli-cups. They work great. Are stackable, see-through, and convenient to wash and store. I also use clay-pigeons for my yearling's hides. They're cheap, and low to the ground so you have room for a water bowl to sit on top of them. The snakes love them.

Hecate: Normal Motley (het for ?)(Female)
Well, I thought she was gravid. But after her latest shed this morning, she just looks healthy to me. I guess that when I expected her to start looking gravid, she actually ovulated instead (after mating). And she is now thinner than she was 2 weeks ago. I'll keep the incubator going and her moist hide in there for a couple more weeks just to make sure. I guess I'll have to wait a whole other year. =/
She's still kind of pudgy, but no individual lumps. =(
I think the way the colours fade on her belly is neat.

Diablo: Normal Striped (het for amel) (Male)
He's the mate to Hecate above, at two years of age he is quite small. I guess he was never destined to be one of those huge males everyone seems to have but me. My little yearling males are getting close to his size.

Kingsford: Charcoal (Male)
He's a yearling from Serpenco. He just shed this morning, and his yellow on the throat is getting more pronounced. He's a shy one. =D
Picture of when I first got him.

Schnee: Blizzard (Female)
She's a yearling from Serpenco. She's the one with the disfigured head I posted about some weeks ago. Despite the deformity, she's doing great. She's actually not so much of a slow-eater anymore, and is usually one of the first ones to swallow their prey. She is still kind of thin, and is getting fed the teeny-tiny pinks as she has a problem with regurgitating the larger items. I try and make up for her small prey items by feeding her more frequently than the rest. Instead of every 5-7 days, she gets fed every 3-4 and seems to do well on it so far.
Picture of when I first got her.

Spectre: Charcoal Ghost (aka Phantom Ghost) (Male)
He is also a yearling from Serpenco. And he is a beautiful specimen, the yellow on his throat is unbelievable. Although, I think Rich must have crossed him with cobra or rattlesnake, because he is the the meanest corn snake I have ever met. Will not hesitate to strike at you or bite you, and commonly bites himself when he coils up. He also just shed this morning, and it's going to be fun to try and get the retained tail shed off. I am not looking forward to that. =P
Sorry for the blurriness, had to take the pic through his feeding container as he kept striking at me. =P

Trix: Reverse Okeetee (Female)
She is from Kathy Love. She is a sweetie, doesn't mind being held or picked up, and eats like a little piggy. She's starting to get more orange on her and the white is diminishing with each shed, just what I wanted.
Picture of when I first got her.

Ungeheuer: Normal Okeetee (Male)
He is from Kathy Love. And is a beautiful individual. I'm a fan of the Okeetees just for their wild and natural colouration. He's is growing like a weed since I got him, and is about to shed within the next day or so.

Hemmie: Brown Snake (Storeria dekayi) (Sex unknown)
Found this little jewel on a hemlock plant in our goat pasture, hence it's name. Nothing better than a free snake. Eats worms and slugs that I find around the flowerbed, and has a great personality. Calm as a corn and about half the size of one of my yearlings. Also very curious about people, and shows no fear as it will crawl out of it's enclosure and up your arm. I'm thinking it's female, as even after it defecates after a meal always has this pudgy appearance throughout the body. So maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised when I find live babies one day. =)

Hope you all enjoyed the fruits of my boredom this afternoon. =)
