I have been a boa persone for many years. I had my first clutch of balls this year. Is there a trick to getting them to eat? They shed two weeks ago. I have offered live rat pinks last week and this week to no avail. Thanks for any advice.

I always wait a week after they shed to offer food, allows them to use up all the yolk theyve absorbed from the egg...Been breeding Balls for bout 10 yrs now, never personally had much luck offering rats off the bat...I always offer hopper mice for 1st 2 meals(usually same weekend) then the following week try rat pinks w/ alittle fuzz...Naked pinks have little to no scent, having the fuzz changes things...Balls will humble ya, some will cooperate and take rats some just wont touch them...I stopped trying a few yrs ago to make the switch, just feed hoppers a few feedings then move up to xs mice...If a customer wants to switch over then they can themselves... GL, hope this helps...
