Congrats! and they are beautiful! Some great red coloration!

Have you found the deep red color to be line bred? or are you thinking it may be something more (I ask because a few of the babies appear (to me at least) be more red than the others)?

Chris,
The two individuals are not closely related. Both came in different shipments in 2008 and 2009 (acquired from Exotic Reptile Jungle, FL before they went out of business). Our selection was based primarily on color (orange/red) and high density pattern. I have to agree the fact that some display more red than others. However, some neonates display a subtle-red as well. Once they have shed I can take pics. for comparison. It is not uncommon to see this type of phenotypic variation from Nicaraguan boas.....particularly coming from some of this farm. The purpose of the breeding was not trying to perpetuate certain desired qualities, instead; is was more of a surprise outcome.
