When to pop a baby ball python

keng1111 Jul 25, 2013 12:17 PM

Hi, I just had my first clutch and wanted to get some advice on when to pop them. Do I do it as soon as they come out of the egg or should I wait until they shed in about 10 days? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Seriously, relax. It's just a simple question. And I do know how to pop learning on other snakes so there is no need for ??? I thought the point of forums were for help but I guess for some they just check the forums just to mess with other people and that's pretty sad. If somebody else would like to share their feedback I would appreciate it. Thanks

guess I didn't check this enough...

I am relaxed

I did help

you asked not me......

and as said...after shed is a firmer snake...

......aaaaaaand....I have personally seen dozens of people that been around for yearsssssss screw up a good popping....""this is male"" when it's an overly squeezed female....""this is female"" when it's a male they just didn't pop correctly....balls corns kings milks.......people can screw anything up....even the ones that know everything.......

so...pop them...whenever you like.....one minute old...to 38 years old....it don't matter....it all can work....

good luck....

Yes you did help and so did some others and I appreciate that. I can see different people do it different ways. I only wrote relax because you started the title" if you gotta ask". Yeah that's what people do in forums ask. People with less experience ask questions people help and share information. There is no need to make a reply like that. Thanks

I'll sex them straight out of the incubator, just after washing them off. I separate the clutch by sex, then set them up individually after they birth shed. My only recommendation is to let them all the way out of the egg first!

Good Luck, Jared Carr

I also like to do it right out of the egg. They are fat, well/over hydrated, and are so out of it they almost pop themselves.
