Cleaning cages today. here is a pic of siblings from a clutch 2 years ago. horrible breeding season here. had 3 bad clutches from my greybands this year. used a first time male and not one viable egg. oh well, glad to see all the success of others though. dave.

Sorry you are having a rough year with breeding. But those two are screamers!

Those holdbacks are just what I'd want if I had gray bands. Sorry your 2013 season didn't pan out.

Three clutches of pyro eggs; everything is late this year but look good. Same males as previous years.

Looks like a fine batch of eggs, Bob. Congrats on another good year.

Thanks, Dennis! I don't like to count my snakes before they hatch, but yes, am optimistic this will be a good year.

Looks like great year Bob- I've been waiting to see some of your hatchings. you and Dennis have done a great job. Not sure why things failed here. I only brumated the one male with my other females to try and introduce new blood line. Other than that, everything was the same way that had always worked before. Oh well, didn't really have room for any more anyway! good luck on getting some more high band counts! dave

Just think how calm and peaceful your year will be!

Ha ha that's true! but I took last season off to give females a break. Like your cal kings, I was looking forward some of the unknown of what babies might look like. I am set up though for future seasons as the holdbacks grow and get bigger. still a couple years away from breeding these guys...

Wow! Those are amazing! What pairing are they from? Definitely alot to look forward to.

Thanks. I picked up those last year. They are "coffee line" greybands. I understand that to be a recessive trait. There are a few guys here who occasionally post pics of theirs. I've admired that line for awhile and jumped when I had the chance. They are pretty cool. dave

Well, at least you have some nice stock, so hopefully next year will pan out.

Very nice. I have one holdback female from two years ago. She is at 290 grams empty. The question is whether to try breeding her next year, or wait another year or two.

Have you bred your original pair again? I remember you had a nice looking clutch couple yrs ago. dave

I bred my original pair two years, then decided to sell the female. I still have the original male, and the two year old female holdback.
