problem with foam background

mbmcewen Oct 07, 2003 04:29 PM

I followed black jungle's directions on making a realistic background using DOW foam, coco substrate, and black silicon. The thing is, after letting the silicon cure, and knocking the excess coco off....you can see the silicon through the coco....sorta shiny....looks like shingles glinting in the sun almost. The pics they have on their website do not have this....any ideas?

thanks,

next time try using the almond colored silicone instead of the black, it looked pretty decent even when some of the Coco fibers fell off of my tank.
