Wow, did I miss something here? I heard the term liar and thief so I had to check out this thread but all I am seeing is a bunch of guys hammering a guy because he thinks he proved out a new morph and a lot of you guys think it’s the same as the trick?

If these do prove out to be the same then I guess he can just have his own line of tricks to make it less confusing for all of us but to throw out all these harsh words, it has me a little confused. Did this guy do something on another forum that led up to this?

I have seen several breeders working on their own line of something and gave their line its own name. IE specter and whirlwind. Or what about the Banana / Coral Glow also the Mystic and phantom. Now I know recently people that have their own lines of a morph are using their name to differentiate between the lines.

Maybe some of you guys should have offered some advice on how to move forward with his marketing of his morph instead of blasting him and calling him a liar and a thief. I just felt like I had to chime in and give my 2 cents on this subject. Paul Wyble at Steel City Exotics

I didn't read all the below, figured there was some back story.

Know opinions vary on naming but to me it's way better to give two names to what might eventually turn out to be the same thing (lesser and butter?) than to give one name to what eventually turns out to be two things (woma).

I posted a thread a few weeks ago showing an amazing paradox Leopard Spinner Blast and was really disappointed that nobody commented on it. Now I'm just relieved that nobody bothered, is hate to get a bashing like Hans got

I'd just like to say when you come out with a new bloodline of an existing morph and publish it on this forum you can certainly stir up a big fuss real quick. I know this myself from experience. When I came out with my bloodline of Vanilla the year after Chris McQuaid of Gulf Coast Reptiles hit on that gene. I posted mine as Thunder and the super as Lightning. I didn't even know Chris had done it. But I found out very quickly, as I cought holy hell on this site.
Now It's just regarded as the only other bloodline of Vanilla.
I like your new gene or should I say bloodline. My advise would be to acknowledge the similarities to Trick, and the fact that it could (probably) be the same blood line.
All the trash talk you are getting in the replies below are coming from lesser minds that you needn't worry about. The haters will hate, and the back stabers just love a chance to stab you in the back. You've established your self as a top notch breeder, just get back to work crank out those killer morphs man.

Well put! In fact, it would be more irresponsible to call it a Trick if it's from a different bloodline. Time will tell, but in the meantime it makes sense to keep them separate. We've seen with other related morphs in the past that different bloodlines do behave slightly differently.

Congrats to Hans for proving out an exciting morph!
