Another Coral Ghost (Ghost & Hypomelanistic). I have produced them all so far.
But I really like the pattern on the Ghost.

What would a hypermelanistic ghost look like?

10 years ago I bred a Ghost male to a Hypermelanistic female (Mendota) and produced normal looking banded double hets. They were all males and I never did anything with that project. So I KNOW that the Ghost and Hypermel are 2 different genes although they can appear to be similar visually.
So I do not know what a Ghost Hypermel would look like. I will do that project again in the future.

I would assume the lighter coloration of the ghost would be chocolate color if it was a ghost hypermel....

But I have produced both the dark phase and the light phase Ghost with the same Ghost gene. Not sure what a Ghost Hypermel would look like...... I would assume the Ghost face and both can have aberrant patters.........

Again....Different degrees of expression.....We see it with granite mex mex and many other mutations....
