I finally got a pic that accurately displays her color.

My first snake ever, a smallish lady bull, had coloring much like that.

Where did you find her? And how big is she? Like I said, my girl was on the small (though not shrimpy) side -- only about five feet.

I got her from Bart Bruno in 98, so she's about 5 y.o. now. I think he still breeds them, and I will probably have some next year, too. I think Cherry has some of this line, too, but I'm not sure. They(her and the male) are not huge bulls; I haven't really measured them lately but they're between 5.5 and 6'. In general, bulls from the northern areas of their range don't grow as large as those from southern regions, due to the shorter active season I guess. They are built like brick outhouses though; they feel like they're made of steel. Actually it's kind of nice that they don't require quite as big of caging as some of the huge lines of bulls.

Yeah. My girl was of Cherry stock originally. She was petite, but thick in the middle, and, yeah, she did feel like a steel bar rolled in birdseed.

I swear. She was the most awesome snake . . . took naps with me, ate like a horse, bit the occasional person (who was NOT me). Still miss her.

i have an 02 female from bart as well. she's completely red and yellow from head to tail but is only about 22'' at 15 months though she eats really well! i really like her despite her small size. i know this is not what you meant by 'smaller northern bulls' but i know exactly what you mean. it is nice not to have to look for larger caging all the time when dealing w/ the northern bulls. some of my other bulls are outgrowing anything made of sterlite....

Yeah, actually mine seemed to grow considerably until they were 4yo, whereas most have the majority of their length when they're 3yo.
