I have put some anacharis in my tank and it seems to create a film on top of the water. As soon as I clean the tank and put everything back in the film reappears. Has anyone else had this experience?

I get the same thing around the plants in my tank. I think it is from pellet food like Reptomin, and it gets trapped in between the plants. Dont really know how to get rid of it, maybe a skimmer, or just stir the plants up a lot.
Most plants will work as filters, catching small food and waste particles. If youve ever been to a pond with lots of vegetation, youll notice the water is usually really clear.
