What kind of redtail?

boachick1985 Sep 07, 2013 03:46 PM

Hey everyone! So I just bought this guy locally from some kid who sold it to me as a Columbian. Im not too good with locals but I don't think its a Columbian, any ideas as to what he may be? He's about 6-7ft, FAT, and what you cant see in the pic are super pink cheeks and lot more running down his side. Plus hes more...I guess yellow in person and the saddles look like ink. Anyway, whatever he is hes gorgeous (and so is the $50 I paid for him)! Thanks!

That's a classic Bolivian looking animal. There is really no way to be sure, but I guarantee that is NOT a Colombian. A beautiful animal nonetheless!

Thanks guys! Yeah, after some pretty intense research Im pretty convinced he's a bolivian type amaralli. Kinda sucks there's no REAL way to be absolutely sure what kind of BCA he is but I think bolivian is a pretty safe assumption, hes just spot on with all the pictures I compared him to as well as saddle and scale counts, ect. Thanks again already looking for a pretty lady to pair him up with!
