Hi Orlando,
I was looking at your Tarahumara pic. Can they be differentiated from other dark Mexican boas? I ask because I am going to get one next week (sold as a Tarahumara boa), and I want to know what to look for.

A pic of the one I am receiving shows a dark busy pattern and a dark spear on the top of the head like yours. Also large dark eye stripes.

Thanks for any info.

2013 male Tarahumara boa (let me know what you think)

He looks big in the first pic, that is a visual reference problem. The 2nd pic shows how tiny his head really is. The third pic is with better lighting. He is extremely calm. I was told it was the largest neonate in the litter. His dad is under 40 inches, and his mom is bigger, like 4ft.

I do not have lots of experience with boas, but I have never seen such a small baby boa in person, at least head size and girth, though his length is there. The eye stripe is awesome. I had him on a small grapevine branch that was darker in color, and it took a 2nd look to find his head with that eye stripe blending in with the wood.
