Best way to heat a 4 foot Boaphile Cage?

peterfromme Oct 07, 2003 07:52 PM

Hi,

I might be purchasing a 4 foot Boaphile cage in the near future. I was going to purchase the cage without the heat option. I have tons of 11 inch flexwatt (over 10 feet!), knocking around. I was going to cut a two foot piece and put it underneath the boaphile cage. Would that work?

I was going to use a thermostat and place probe inside the cage, over the flexwatt.

Let me know if you would recommend this, or would you just buy it with the heat option (just tryin' to save a few bucks)

Thanks,

Peter F.

I think the heat tape underneath would work. I recently bought two of the 421D's w/ the heat built in and they are awesome. I'd pay the few extra bucks for the built in heat. It's completely sealed in and professionally done and it works great!

I'd also pay a few bucks to have them install the fluorescent lighting. They do a nice job so the light isn't even visible when looking at the front of the cage.
You will definitely love these cages!
