Egg Question

JMo Sep 16, 2013 05:53 AM

I had three eggs hatch over the weekend after 52 - 53 days, sort of caught me off guard as I was expecting a few more days. Anyway, I have three more eggs from the same clutch that show no signs of hatching. All are still plump, no signs of denting although they have developed some discoloration over the last week or so, but that's about it. Question - should I wait a few more days to see if they will begin hatching on their own or should I cut the eggs and see what's going on?

Any advice is most appreciated.

Thanks,
JMo

I'd cut a small slit on the remaining eggs, assuming they were incubated the same as the others.

Maki - thanks for the input. I slit the three eggs last night; not a pretty sight. All were desad in the shell. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my inquiry.
