What to get.....

bidden Oct 07, 2003 08:11 PM

Hello all, this is my first post on here. I'm starting to look at getting a snake but I have a slight problem..... I have no clue what to get.

I really like ball pythons, but I think that it'll get a little too big(girlfriend hates snakes...) Are there any other snakes that have the same or similar colours/markings but stay under 3ft?

Also, does anyone know of a website that you can compare different species?

Thanks for all your help.

You might want to look at a Kenya sand boa. It stays small. Or if it has to be a Python, look to the smaller Australian species.

Rosy boas are also good choices. Andy

The challenges of having a girlfriend and snake at the same time...how well I know that challenge.

My fiancee doesn't like snakes either...come to think of it she's not much of a fan of any herps except tortoises and turtles. Anyway, she didn't want me to have one, but I did it anyway.

I bought a rosy boa. Sweet little snake. Very tame, usually ok with people. Doesn't get very big either...easily kept in a 20 gallon long tank.
Now my fiancee doesn't mind them as much.

So I suggest a nice rosy.
