CROATIAN TIMES (Zagreb, Croatia) 17 September 13 Smuggled turtles seized from Italian bus near Vrgorac
Police in Croatia have found over 100 kilograms of heavy boxes full of turtles illegally transported in an Italian registered bus that entered the country from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The bus was stopped at the border check Orah near the town of Vrgorac.
The seized turtles were alive and packed in boxes of bananas, police has reported.
An investigation has been launched to clarify the smuggling case.
