The second egg has not hatch yet. It is sweating a lot. Do you think something went wrong? or is this normal? It has been about 3 days. The egg is shrinking too.

I thought when the egg started to sweat it meant that it should hatch within a few hours or that day.

Any thoughts on this?

Liz,
It doesn’t sound too good, but there really is nothing you can do but wait it out. Sweating eggs doesn’t always mean an egg is about to hatch. Eggs without embryos can even sweat due to pressure. Anyway as always I wish you the best.

Well there is a good size gecko in there. I'll just keep an eye on it. I hope it hatches.

Sad to say the same thing happened to me as well. Today I decided to cut the eggs open because I started to notice an odor. Needless to say what I found were perfectly formed crestie babies. I guess after slitting the egg they gave up and died. Funny though I saw the eggs while it was sweating and saw the slit but thought everything would go ok. Next time I might do something different.
