balls and pine bedding/ breeding rats

hurricaneexotics Sep 29, 2013 08:41 PM

Anyone ever have problems with Pine Dander affecting ball pythons if used for Rat bedding when breeding rats? I have read that there is a minute amount of toxicity in pine... which is why I ask.

Thanks!

bred rodents and snakes for 20 years....used pine all the time...even a handful of cedar in the rodent cages from time to time.....not very often...like once a year maybe....

Thank You much for your expertise in bedding! I figured Pine wouldn't interfere with much (or at least HOPED), I dunno if I'de gamble with Cedar, but trust that it worked for you. Appreciate it guys.
