ALSUMARIA (Baghdad, Iraq) 26 September 13 Thi Qar University, Iraq: Diabetes can be cured with snake venom (Ahmad Hussein, Sam Mahmoud)
Science faculty in Thi Qar University announced on Wednesday, September 25 that they have arrived to positive results in treating diabetes with snake venom.
“A number of researchers among the higher learning department in the faculty conducted research and tests on lab rats to know how effective certain concentrations of snake venom can be in lowering blood sugar levels in rats”, said Dr. Khaled Al Fartusi, professor in the Science Faculty in a statement to Alsumaria.
“Laboratory tests have proven that rat poison can cure diabetes in humans”, he mentioned, adding that “a high success rate has been recorded in tests according to primary indexes the researchers received”.
