Question

Are adult crested geckos calmer than leopard geckos? Also how could I get a crestie who won't eat mealworms, to eat mealworms? She eats crickets fine in the pet store, but feeding her crickets is a problem. Also she will only eat baby food off of a finger, she won't eat it out of a dish even when its held in front of her. Could these things be from the stress of the move? Or is she just really picky? She needs to start eating mealies fairly soon, so any ideas to get her on would be good.
Thanks a lot.

If feeding her crickets is a problem for you, you have two options.
1. feed the Crested Gecko Diet by t-rex. It is available at most petcos and online at LLLreptile supply.
2. Feed a mixed baby food diet that has meat babyfood added. I used to mix one jar of Peach(or apricot), one jar of banana, and one jar of turkey(or chicken). to this you need to add about a 1/4 teaspoon of calcium with d3 and a couple pinches of a vit. supp. like herptivite.
As far as getting her on the diet, just be patient. Offer the food in a lid and leave it over night. If she didn't eat any, skip a day and try again. You can check if any food was eaten by not filling the entire lid, leave a defined edge that you can inspect the next day.
good luck

I honestly recommend sticking with the crickets. Search around the forum a bit and you’ll see my reason why, just too much to type over and over again…lol. If it is that big of a problem you can use the old baby food fruit/meat mixture or the CGD, I lean slightly more toward the CGD between the two. Best of Luck and if you need any care info, drop me a line and ill send you a complete care guide, should answer most of your questions.
