Can't we all just get along?

chikimonke Oct 07, 2003 09:38 PM

I'm relatively new to this forum and the wonderful world of leo's. I've had my leo, Jak, for about 5 weeks now, and already I want more leo's. However, I'm a poor college student, and can barely afford to feed my own mouth, let alone Jak's (good thing mealies and crix are cheap), so for now, I'm a one gecko guy. However, I know I wouldn't have joined this forum if I didn't care about Jak. And I feel the same holds true with all of us here. Why did we all join this forum? Because we all share a common love for these incredible animals. Some of us like normals, some of us like the cool morphs and phases, however, I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people that are apart of this forum like all things Leo's. So whether it be for hobby, money, or just the love of the animals, or hell, all 3, we all love Leo's, so stop doggin on one another, and enjoy the forum it's the way it's meant to be enjoyed, sharing our experiences and getting and giving help.

I understand where you're coming from. I graduated from college two years ago and I'm still looking for work (laboratory work is hard to come by these days). Plus, I'll be getting married next year and Christmas is just around the corner. When I finally do get work, I would like to buy some super hypo tangerines from the Urban Gecko (they have the most beautiful orange color I've ever seen!) breed them and sell them to other people wanting these for a fraction of what I paid. It would be a big loss financially but I would love to be able to sell these beautiful leos for a reasonable price to other people who don't have the money to buy the high-priced ones to begin with. I want to make these "designer" ones available and very affordable to the general public so they don't have to pay the same outrageous price that I had to.
I also like the super-spotted normals.

Thanks for reading
