I keep looking at that pic. Lots of red in that snake. Is that normal? Where are knoblochi native to?

Thanks my friend! Yes, she does have a lot of red. Reduced black on top, gives it a pretty cool look.

From what this rusty memory recalls, I believe they range anywhere from Mexico, thru Arizona, and perhaps Utah.

IMHO knoblochi are from the Tarahumara Mtns. and/or the mountains of northwestern Mexico. Some of the new taxonomy proposes that knoblochi isn't a real subspecies, thus you would have a range synonymous with other pyros going from Mexico all the way to AZ, NM and UT. But for hobby purposes knoblochi is just from Mexico.

BTW that is a stellar knoblochi with over 70 triads!
