I have a milksnake, he's approximately 3 years old (I'm the 3rd owner, was told he came from a breeder) and he escaped about five weeks ago. Couldn't find him etc etc etc

Today I found a newly shed skin and figured out where his new hiding place was fifteen minutes later.

He stops eating two weeks before a shed, gets glossy, you know the story. There's still a two week gap in three week gap in there where I don't know what he ate. The room he was found in is where we kept the cat's water but... what did he eat?

I've never seen rodents here and, due to the recent chill we do have a roach issue but I can't find anything stating milksnakes eat bugs.

Odds are he didn't eat anything.

It really doesn't matter.
