You never know what you’ll come across on the vast 27,000 square mile Navajo Nation in northern Arizona as a local resident of Round Rock, AZ found a 11ft rattle snake.
The rattler maybe one of the biggest snakes ever caught on the reservation.
Traditional Navajos are urging the locals not to kill snakes, due to religious reasons. The Navajo people say, a local medicine men will have to conduct what they call a ‘snake ceremony’ for killing the reptile, which could follow with sickness and bad luck.
Rattle Snakes generally don’t come out, but with temps cooling down they may be out more before they go into hibernation for the winter.
