hey im wondering what people use for a lid on rubbermaids? do you make one out of mesh or just use the plastic lid. the reason im wondering is because if you use the plastic lid how do you get light and air temperature up inside?

Most people use rubbermaids in rack systems, with the top being covered by the bottom shelf of the next level up (check out my pic below). I do keep a cornsnake I own in a rubbermaid type enclosure, and use the lid that came with it (and heat it from below with a heat pad). BPs have more of a heat rerquirement than corns do, so I'm not sure what's best for you. In addition to having to heat your tub, you'll also have to escape proof it. Any self-respecting BP would not stand to be confined in a rubbermaid unless it was "fortified".
