Also make sure you pack them well. You want to try to minimize as much freezer burn as possible.
There are many ways to do this, the best method is to vacuum seal them, but if you don't already have a vacuum sealer, then that's pretty much out of the question (they are expensive, about $100 or more).
What I do is use a ziplock freezer bag and when I close it I just try to squeeze out as much air as possible. Then I put the bag in a Rubbermaid or Tupperware container to further seal it.
If you ever decide in the future to buy mice in bulk, make sure that who you get them from will vacuum seal them. In a vacuum sealed bag, the rodents will be okay for about 2 years.
