This is our first breeding, so I'm new with not a lot of info out there regarding this.
One of our gravid Redtails ( Normal Double Het Snow bred to Anery Het Snow) has been soaking for several days. The humidity is 65% and the temperature is 87. Her last "poop" was the week before Christmas. She is both, active in her water bowl but less active when she gets out of the water. She is not bloated, but abnormal for her. Strangely enough, she was very eager to accept food Sunday night, as usual.
I have done the following:
- checked for mites (negative)
- double checked humidity and temp (both correct)
- checked for visible signs of illness or problems (none)
Does anyone (with true knowledge) have any suggestions? I don't want to lose her or the babies. The reason I have not taken her to the vet is because the nearest exotic vet is 2 hours away. I'm sure the ride will stress her out but am headed there on the 2nd if we can't get this figured out.
Thanks in advance for any advice and would greatly appreciate no ugly/negative comments.
