Sorry for the cliche "not eating thread" but I haven't really seen anything relevant through some searches.
So my boa hasn't eaten in about 4 months. I know snakes can go through fasting periods based on environmental, health, and a few other factors. My temps and humidity haven't changed much and are within general spec (75-80 cool side, low 90s hot side), etc. There was a period of a few weeks where the temps were a bit cold due to a heater issue I was having which has since been fixed (not sure if that is playing a role). A month has passed and she's still not eating. She prefers staying on the cool side all the time and seems to try hard to get out of the cage when even smelling a PK rat which she normally went after instantly. No signs of a respiratory infection or any other "obvious" health problems.
I am about to try the chicken broth prey soaking idea but was really thinking about taking her to a herp vet. If I do, what can they actually check for to see if there's any issues, and should I do it at this point?
