Hello ladies and gents. I am new to this site so please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong forum section. I'll get straight to the point. I am looking to get a pet, preferably one that eats meat doesn't require to much sun and all in all a cool one to own. (No snakes, or tarantulas) I was going to get piranhas but than I wouldn't be able to interact with them. I also was looking at monitor lizards but they seem costly. Sorry if by me saying that offends anyone. Could use some feed back! Thanks y'all.

Monitor species all pretty much require supplemental sunlight as well!

Perhaps look at some of the nocturnal gecko species.
