Western Hog. Breeders?

Spo0ky Oct 08, 2003 01:37 PM

Could anyone point me in the direction of some reputable western hog breeders?

Also what's a "good" price for a juvinile western hog? I've seen some breeders advertising adult hogs for as low as $30, but in the classified ads they all seem to be around $80-130(without shipping), so what's up with that?
Thanks!

This year prices were slightly higher than in the past. I sold most of my hatchlings at $110 a pair. I sold groups, 5 lots, at $45 each plus or minus a few dollars depending on the clutch. My pricing was very competitive, not the cheapest and not the highest. My stock was very good and none went out without freely feeding on frozen thawed. I never scented any pinks this year nor did I feed live. They were all solid feeders.
