Is this story true?

I was browsing the internet and found this news story. Anyone know the outcome? I used to breed boas a long time ago and even had a decent little business going. I'm just getting back into herps again as a hobby only.

here is the story: https://ksl.com/?sid=28293702&nid=148

nobody really knows.... Its a shame that the Stone family has to go through this and the whole story is sad any way you look at it.

What's sad is that it appears that decisions and actions which are illegal and in my opinion immoral, were made based on greed and money. It's a scar on the reptile hobby if you ask me. Especially considering the constant federal attacks on our hobby. That's what is sad.

I don't think it's 'sad', I find it annoying and pathetic the
way that they spin this into ONE big story.

The zoo in question had hundreds of animals stolen & mistreated
& was shut down.

I think that is a MUCH bigger story than just singling out the
American who was involved with one snake.

In hindsight, if you're gonnna be a thief, don't advertise about it
afterwards.
