My dog was going bananas a little while ago barking in the patio.
I've got a presa canario, when he barks it sounds like war horn or something.
He barks so loud it echoes across the lake in the woods behind my house
nd bounces back a few seconds later.

This is what he had cornered in the patio. I totally freaked out
for a second or two. I thought it must be a coral snake.
It's a scarlet kingsnake. I've never seen one in the wild before.
I spent a lot of time when I was a kid herping in the everglades looking for snakes.
That one is a beauty. Really cool that your dog didn't use it as a chew toy!
I've never seen one with orange on it's head like that.
He wouldn't use it as a chew toy.
If I didn't get to it, he would EAT it. 
I got him to leave the gopher tortoises alone, but a snake is a
different thing.
