Hey, I keep BRNs too.
They get 90 percent rodents. They are doing fine.

My adults would occasionally still eat crickets. But only if I hadn't fed them in like, four days. You can worry about them eating insects if you want, but IMO, its nothing to worry about. I'm sorry my animals aren't 15 years old yet, so I could offer some proof that rodents are a spanky diet. Someday.

My animals, including a hatchling I had, turned their noses up at mealworms, superworms, waxworms, and silkworms. They eagerly eat scrambled eggs, BBQ chicken, ground turkey, strips of steak. They eat it to amuse me, though, that stuff isn't a wholesome diet all by itself. They are my garbage disposals, anything (meat and egg-wise) in the fridge I've had too long, they get.

If you have one, could you post some pics of your BRN? They all have different head shapes, its interesting to see the differences. Thanks. D.

Hi
I am not a computer pro by any means, but the url you put down didn't seem to be from a photo hosting site.
Its a two step process. First your picture has to exist somewhere on the Net, then you don't actually put the picture in your posts, but the address to get to the picture. But when we click on your post, we see the pic, not the address. KS here has a free hosting site, just scroll to the very top and click on photo galleries. They have instructions for setting up an account. You are limited to a dozen pictures or so, unless you want to pay a fee for more space. But you can always delete some, to add others. The advantage of using their gallery is that whenever you post, an extra box shows up at the bottom, and you just highlight the photo of your choice to add it to a post. So its easy.

Sorry if any of that is confusing. Best I can do.
D.

Its one of the best things to feed them and is a proven diet. Ask the individuals who actually breed monitors. As long as they are eating whole animal foods they dont need anything else. After all obesity and impactions are from improper temperatures not from whole animals.
