This is my rant and my personal opinion,,,,Finally get my first albino and have to deal with ignorance! I posted this on craigslist in Binghamton,NY...................I recently got back into the hobby a month ago, after loosing my entire boa collection due to an ex shutting down all of their heat and not feeding at all. I am fully disabled and boa's mean the world to me like some folks love their cat, birds, or the family dog. To some folks they are just snakes. So to get to the point, me being a poor guy, I turned to craigslist in order to start my hobby back up. Out of the 3 boas I got from craigslist or should I say rescued at a price. It has been an awful experience would be the nicest thing to say. If you don't have a proper environment for them then don't get them. If you cant give them proper care then don't keep them in order to make a dollar off of them till they are almost dead!!! She will be fine by the way! Its against the law to do that to a cities two animal that's on the endangered speices list. Then to take an sell my favorite boa an albino female that has had broken ribs and only fed once a month is dirty as hell! Still hasn't ate by the way. Is inhumane. These are only my rants and opinions. My anery with the bad nose rub iS a big baby and is now doing amazing and eating like a champ! I cant tell people what to do with these animals, but its treatment like this that has caused our congress to pass all the dumb laws on those of us that love this hobby! So if you cant take care of it don't buy it and half kill the animal before you accept the fact that you need to give him or her a home! And if you don't like the post then oh well!!!!!

I hear ya about people not having the smarts for snakes. But it's not only snakes, it's lots of other stuff.

Rant on:

As long as people worship their big, brainwashing TVs and self-serving social media, they can be kept comfortably numb to learning or thinking about anything important. Add to that our lust for instant gratification, pets included, and you see the result. It's a huge problem that's running rampant on so many other levels beyond herps.

Rant off:

Anyway, it might be worth your while to check out our own community's Kingsnake classifieds, as there are some really knowledgeable people selling quality animals there. I've gone there numerous times to buy herps, even the past couple months.

Again, I hear ya.

B.
