If your beardie is a male and you don't want to breed him, he's better off being alone. Besides, he has you - he's not really alone. I keep all my beardies in separate enclosures.
If you put another male with him they WILL fight. If you put a female with them they could mate and he could stress her out by wanting to mate often.
If your beardie is a female, you could house her with another female that is of the same size/age.
Hope this help.

Beautiful Dragons
Only some females get along with each other, and I would say sure if they are clean (no parasites) and enjoy being with another female all the time then why not. Always plan on housing them separately even females. You never know how they will take another dragon. Since you have a male already, and males are more territorial he's better off alone. My males are very happy being alone, and get quite pissed when another dragon comes close to their territory unless it's female and then they will go nuts to mate. I would never keep a female with a male unless I wanted hundreds of little dragons running around
and still would remove her after they are done doing their thing. Males in general will severally stress a female out when housed together, either taking the food and not sharing space or by constantly trying to mate. Just handle the male ya got, take him out for supervised run arounds, and keep him healthy and happy and you'll have a nice happy male dragon for a pal. Males like having there own space, and if you where only wanting to get one, and did not want to breed a male was a good choice. Females can become gravid even without a male around, and then you have to worry about her laying her eggs properly.
