Meet my firebellies and give me some feedback please

badfishspecator Oct 08, 2003 03:58 PM

I have never had any frogs or toads and recently I got three firebellies. They seem to be doing very well and I love having them around. I am also new to this forum as you've probably figured out, so...
I was hoping people could take a look at the pictures that I have linked(I'm not sure how to post directly)and tell me:
1)Is there any way to reduce the ammount or completely get rid of all the condensation and fog on the glass of the tank?
2)What do you think of the tank setup and my frogs-what else do I need? do they look healthy?etc.
3)Can i safely put a beta(or any other type) fish in there and if I put some feeder guppies in the tank will the frogs eat them?(I hope so!)
and lastly
4)Any other helpful tips or advice for a new frog owner.

WU,SHU,WEI and myself would greatly appriciate any feedback.

Thank you VERY much

Lol, nice froggies and set up.

Ventalation, I dont even have a lid on my 29 gallon FBT tank, lol. But its all good.

They look good, maybe a little thin though.

nice set up, looks fine

Feeder fish? They might..... If they can catch them... Beta fish? eh, FBT's are toxic, Youd need a bigger tank and more water to ensure the bets were safe.

BryanR- Have any of your fbts ever escaped because you have no top on the tank?

Badfish- Try using a screen to lid on the tank or setting up a small computer fan up on the tank to allow for better air circulation. That will get rid of the condensation.

Nope. The walls are way too high. I mean when I first put them in there, they could climb the walls a little, but now they never do at all, so Ivenever had an escapee int he last 4 years
