what type of shampoo do you prefer to bathe your yorkies with? how do you go about bathing? in a tub or use a shower head? and how often?

tear stains/eye goobies! anyone have a special recipe to make a solution that is not irritating but cleans up well??

Hey there.

I use only doggie shampoo on mine. For my regular kids, I use Oster Aloe and Protein, and for my show dogs I use Espree, which strips all the dirt and oil off their coats (I keep my show dogs oiled and wrapped between shows).

I wouldn't use people shampoo as it is not Ph balanced for dogs and could potentially lead to problems.

I take Tiffany to the groomer about every 6-7 weeks. I bathe her in between. I'd say she gets a bath every other week. Then I blow her dry. It takes awhile to get them used to the blowdryer. I used to have to let her air dry but now she's good and stands still while I blow her dry.
