My Dalmatian bitch (4 years) was spayed approx 12 months ago. Prior to the operation, she had a pure white coat with black spotting. Now she has developed a circle (approx 3" diameter) of brown hair around where the scar is. I thought it was just mud at first! but on closer examination it is definitely new hair growing in as brown. Could this be related to her spay/hormones? Any ideas? The rest of her colouring is as normal.
