Dog Show Results

I went to the dog show this weekend. It was pretty intersting. I saw plenty of good dogs out there. For the conformation show Hammond (for those who know who he is) came out and judged and placed the dogs. Along with a few other folks. They also had the weight pull class going. One dog there pull 10,500 lbs in 11.3 seconds. I was going to place my dog in the conformation show but he is a bit heavy but just slightly. I couldn't have competed against the competition today. I am going to take the next come around.I met alot of new people which everyone there was really cool and respectful of eachother. Not one arguement or disagreement, as usual for the shows. I went with my dog and my pedigree to see what everyone else has. A couple had some stuff similar to what I have and are considering a few options in the future. I am thinking hard on maybe obtaining a nice outcross from my current blood. I estimate there were about 200 APBT's down there over the weekend of all shapes, sizes, and colors. The judge today seemed to be favoring the natural look over the cropped ears. But all were looking good out there.....Well, just thought I would let you guys know how much fun I had this weekend with good ol' APBT people.

Cool! Glad you shared. The weight-pull sounds really interesting....was that pull as huge as I think?

I believe so. He did the 11,500 lbs 25 feet in like a bit over 11 or12 seconds. It was a really large one though. The large ones would never make the conformation placements as they are too big. Nothing over 65 would naormally never win anything... I'll post up the weight pull rules and the conformations rules.....

I think I see. Thanks for spelling that out....and I read the weight-pulling rules first - cause that was the first post I saw! Gives a two-dimensional framework of what a weight pull would be. Think I'd like to actually see one (that visual orientation I have )
