Question about diet for JRTs....

munchkins Apr 08, 2003 04:15 PM

My daughter-in-law has a young unneutered JRT. She would like suggestions on what kind of dog food you "experts" would recommend for him. He seems to be typical, with a high activity level, so she is concerned that he is not getting the right kind or amount of dog food. Thanks for any suggestions.

depends on what lifestyle she wants to have with him, active i would suggest higher Protien and Fat %.
a house dog i would say that any adult dog food would work as long as the first ingredient is Meat..dogs digest meat the best, they are made to eat meat not corn or soy or vegies.
My personal preferance is Purina Pro-Plan Beef&; Rice or Lamb &; Rice. My dogs coats looked great, soft and shiny,no dry skin and the muscle was very firm and dense.
Hope that helps.
