I have a one year old female black lab/dalmation mix. I have to leave her home part of the day, and she's fine. But this summer I start going to school for three hours each night. I was thinking of getting Skylar (that's her name) a friend. Does anyone have a good suggestion on what kind of dog she would blend well with? She loves other animals, and she is not aggressive. She is smaller in size than most labs, about 45 pounds. I was thinking of getting a small dog, seeing as that two big dogs take up a lot of space! Her cage in my kitchen is about 4 feet by 6 feet. I am open to any suggestions.

If your dog is caged in a 4x6 foot cage. I would highly reccomend not getting another dog.
