Fila Brasileiro

mineka Apr 26, 2003 07:31 PM

Hi to all! I posted many months ago when my new Fila arrived. She is 6 months old now and is the most wonderful puppy!

Can someone tell me how to attach a picture?

When Layla is "serious" she looks very much like a mastiff. When she is in a goofy mood she will let her ears fall back and then looks more like a bloodhound, LOL

I'll post a picture when I can figure out how to do it

Do you have a picture of Layla uploaded on the computer? I think you can just right click on the picture, hit copy pic on the list and then paste into a posting window. If this doesn't work, try the FAQ to see if there is help there.

hey mineka!!

How to Post a Photo:

First, you need to have a photo somewhere ONLINE. You can upload a picture off of your computer to the Photo Gallery. This way is the easiest to get a photo in your post. If you have a picture uploaded elsewhere, then (if you have a PC) you have to right click ON the image with your mouse, then select the properties option in the window that pops up. You will then get a window that shows you the properties of the image. There will be one area that shows the URL of the image. Copy and paste that URL. Follow the directions in Tools and Toys to post it in your message.

I hope this helps you! I don't have a Macintosh, so if you do, you'll have to upload the picture in a .gif or .jpeg format into the photo gallery and put it into the post that way. If anyone knows how to get the URL of a photo with a Mac, that would be great!

To upload a photo, follow these instructions:

Go to the Photo Galleries:
gallery.pethobbyist.com/index.pl

Scroll down until you see where it says Home, Profile, Upload Photos, and Login. This is just above the red header for the PetHobbyist Photo Gallery.

You will need to click "Login" and enter your user name and password.

Once logged in, click "Upload Photos".

Choose a category. We have a wide variety of categories for members to chose from. You can be very specific about where you put your photos, or you can put them in the Member Gallery. The Topic Galleries are reserved for just the animal that you are uploading. For example, a photo of a boa, could go in the Boa Photo Gallery. A photo of a dog, would go in the Dog Photo Gallery. A photo of you, would go in the Member Gallery, etc.

You will need to know where on your computer are your photos. Browse to your photos on your computer, and select the photo you wish to upload. Click ok. Photos need to end in one of 2 file types: .jpg or .gif.

You may enter a title, keywords, and description. That is your option.

Then click Upload/Submit.

Try to keep your photos of a smaller size. Many times a scanner or digital camera will make the photos huge. You may need to use a photo program to reduce the size.

The sun was setting when this pic. was taken. She looks very "red" in color. She is actually a black brindle.

Thanks again for the help!

Yup, it worked just great!! And there WAS Layla! I have to say whenever I hear the name Layla I think of Derek and the Dopminoes and Clapton singing the song.....She's a pretty girl.

Actually, that is where her name comes from. "Layla" is my favorite Eric Clapton song. I have four children and always said if I had a fourth girl (I have 3 girls and a boy) that she would be named Layla or Rhiannon (my favorite Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac song), LOL

Well Andrew was born and now my dogs get to be named after songs.

Guess you weren't meant to have girls (other than animal girls). Rhainnon is nice as well, Celtic goddess, you know.

you have to make sure that the URL ends in a .gif or .jpeg format, or else it won't show.

You must right click on the image, select the properties option, and then copy and paste the URL given to you into the Image URL box.

She's a pretty one, btw!!
