Think good thoughts, kids. Obie debutes in OB class on Friday. . 8:30 in the ayem. . send him lots of soothing thoughts. . like, don't be a butthead, do behave yourself, do heel nicely, don't break your down stay. . .and if mom starts to swoon, stand stay so she doesn't fall over.

well it's now 9:30 am. Hope Obie did well and "mom" was able to keep from fainting.

Friday, we headed down to NJ for a specialty. I had entered my miracle boy Obie in Novice A. .first time either of us had entered the OB ring.

Well, he did so so on the heeling off leash, pretty good on leash, we bummed the figure 8, not badly enough to fail, but I cringed at it.

Then we did the Recall: Beautiful, oh my, I thought, as he barrelled towards me at a gallop, and then he went out the ring, back to the car, where his Aunti caught him with a cookie. Guess he said screw mom and her nerves, I've had enough!!! ARGH!! The OB judge was wonderful tho, gave me lots of compliments on him, she's never seen a Borzoi so happy to work for his mom, at least til mom's nerves cause her stomach to tie up in dinosaur size knots!!!

Went from there down to Flemington to stay with my Greyhound friend for the weekend, and headed out coursing. I had Obie and his half brother Brooks entered, both just needing singles to finish their AKC titles.

Well, Obie walked away with a 4 point major with a BOB. I decided to run him for field, and he can now sport the brag that he is a Best in Field Running Borzoi as well as FC Mielikki's My Fairy King, SC, CGC!! He is the fourth out of my 2nd litter to finish in the field. And the second BIF running dog I've bred. He also picked up 3 points towards his LCX today, and I'm so tickled with it. He is my miracle boy

Brother Brooks, who is the other BIF pup,earned two points this weekend. He's 5.5, and hasn't been AKC coursing since he was 16 months or so, so I'm tickled that he picked up a major with a BOB last month over younger competition, as well as these singles. He now lacks 4 points to be my first Dual Champion
