I just brought home my new Golden puppy, and I was looking for a place to share my joys (i'm sure there will be alot)and maybe a place to go for help. This is my second golden, I lost my first back in october and have been spending the last six months bringing myself to start over. My first brought me may years of joy and I miss him more now than ever, but I am sure that that the future will be as much fun as the last 24 hours. I look forward to getting to know more owners like myself and if I ever figure it out I will post a photo.

Welcome to the board, I have a golden retriever/lab mix. She has the golden coat (before she was shaved for the summer), but the lab body. Her name is Butterball, I have posted some pictures of her, so check them out.

How exciting a new puppy! My golden died last July. I know how you feel and I still miss him greatly. We also got a golden puppy in August of last year. Simon is 10 months old and big teddy bear with lots of love. It really takes up my time and I don't grieve as much. They fill your every void.

Enjoy him they grow up fast. Simon was 8 lbs when I got him and I could hold him in one hand...now he is 77lbs. Have fun

What is your puppy's name? How old?
To be honest, I was in tears after one week with Sebastian when we first got him. We were spoiled by our Yorkie who is no-maintenance. I wasn't mentally prepared. If we hadn't had a crate, I can't imagine.
